Corporate PPA in Italy:
fixed-price solar energy

If your company has significant electricity costs and wants to break free from spot market volatility, a long-term agreement with an Italian solar producer is the most direct route.

Terrawatt structures supply agreements tied to its own assets: agreed fixed price, energy produced in Italy, Guarantees of Origin included.

Less volatility on the P&L,
more certainty in planning

Energy cost is one of the most unpredictable line items on an energy-intensive company’s income statement. The swings in electricity markets over recent years have shown that spot price exposure carries a risk that traditional financial instruments struggle to hedge effectively.

A long-term fixed-price contract with a solar producer turns that variable into a predictable cost for ten, fifteen, or twenty years — a direct advantage in financial planning and energy budget setting.

On top of that, the energy purchased can be certified as renewable through Guarantees of Origin (GOs), an instrument of growing relevance for ESG sustainability reporting and for supply chains that require proof of decarbonisation.

Energy produced in Italy,
contracts built around your needs

The solar assets in the Terrawatt portfolio generate renewable energy from sites across central and southern Italy — high-irradiance areas with strong annual yield conditions.

The PPAs we offer are built around the buyer’s consumption profile: term, volume, price structure (fixed, indexed, or with floor/cap), and delivery arrangements are all defined during negotiation.

For companies with multiple sites or variable offtake profiles throughout the year, agreements can be structured to aggregate output from several assets within the same portfolio.

From consumption profile to contract

Structuring a PPA starts with sharing the company’s historical consumption data: load curves, annual volumes, and seasonal offtake patterns.

From there, the Terrawatt team puts together a proposal matching the output profile of the most suitable assets to the buyer’s requirements.

This is followed by commercial and legal negotiation of the contract terms, with specialist advisor support if needed. Before final signing, a technical review of the reference asset is available, covering yield studies and permits already obtained. The PPA comes into effect when the plant enters commercial operation.
